I'm Millie O'Connell, a pupil barrister at Park Square Barristers in Leeds. In 2024, I graduated from the University of Leeds with an LLB in Law, where I was an active member of both the Law Society and Barrister Society. Alongside my studies, I completed multiple mini-pupillages and gained valuable experience through voluntary and pro bono roles. I also enjoyed taking part in my university's mooting competitions and was a national finalist at BPP's Advocate of the Year Competition at the Old Bailey in London.
In 2025, I completed the Barrister Training Course at BPP Leeds, supported by a Bar Course Scholarship from The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn and an Advocacy Scholarship from BPP.
Outside of law, I am a keen runner, having completed both the London and Amsterdam Marathons as well as numerous half marathons, including the Great North Run.
As a first-generation lawyer, I am passionate about supporting aspiring barristers to develop their legal skills and achieve a successful career at the bar.
Awarded scholarship by Lincoln's Inn (BTC)
