Hi I'm Theo, a Law Lecturer, unregistered Barrister, and the Advocacy Lead at Buckinghamshire New University Law School. In my role, I teach core modules such as Criminal Law and Evidence, while also leading the development of students' practical courtroom skills through close work with the university's Mooting and Trial Advocacy Societies. As a distinguished alumnus of the university, I graduated with First-Class Honours in Law in 2022 and served as Valedictorian before completing the LLM Bar Practice Programme with Distinction at the University of Hertfordshire. I was called to the Bar of England and Wales by The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in November 2023.
My dedication to educational excellence is highlighted by my 2025 Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). My impactful journey as the first in his family to attend university was recognised in 2024 when I was featured in the Universities UK "100 Faces" campaign. By integrating my real-world experience as a County Court Advocate into teaching, I foster an engaging, practice-informed learning environment that blends academic rigour with professional competence. Beyond my legal pursuits, I am also a professional piano tuner and technician for prominent venues, including Garsington Opera and Christ Church Cathedral School, Oxford.
