Hi, I'm Chiara. I'm a barrister (unreg) and I was called to the Bar in March 2025. I have a rich background in academia and research. I previously worked as a grant-based writer and lecturer in the humanities and arts, bringing a deep understanding of these fields to my legal career. As a graduate of Balliol College, Oxford, I hold a PhD in American poetry and philosophy from King's College London, which has shaped my analytical and critical thinking skills.
I completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at City, University of London, achieving a Distinction and graduating among the top students in my cohort. Following this, I was honored to receive an academic excellence scholarship for the Bar Vocational Studies LLM, which I completed with a Distinction in 2024, specialising in International Commercial Trade, International ADR, and New Technologies in Commercial Contract Law. My dissertation was awarded the Henderson Chambers Dissertation Prize, earning the highest mark in my cohort, a testament to my dedication and research capabilities. I also gained practical experience as a County Court Advocate, handling a variety of civil matters, which honed my courtroom skills.
Currently, I work as the Commercial Law Reporter for the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting, operating within the Chancery team. I practice as a qualified Civil and Commercial Mediator, helping parties resolve disputes effectively.
